This is a short article, but I still find it funny. A mayor of small town Norway, SC was pulled over by a state trooper, according to policeone.com After the trooper cleared the Traffic Stop with the mayor, he himself was pulled over by the mayor. The mayor claims that he was justified in acting as the towns "chief constable."
While it is true that some small town mayors have the power of "chief constable" that doesn't mean that they have the right nor the power to pull someone over. This is why officers of the law HAVE to be certified. I do not know all the facts about this case as the story was literally just a paragraph long but it doesn't seem to me that the mayor needs to be in that position from much longer.
Read the story and let me know what you think.
That was an interesting article Zach, and I think it's really cool that you are back in class again. I loved reading your papers last semester and I look forward to reading more this semester. I'm not sure if you noticed or not though, but our blogs this semester are a little different than last semesters. I'll talk to you later.
